Bass Player Wanted for Low-Pressure Weekday Jams South Yorkshire / Nottinghamshire

We are a newly formed casual band (two guitars/vocals and a drummer) in our 50s, recently retired, and living out the teenage dream! We’re also family (brothers / brother-in-law) and friends who use our weekly rehearsals as a bit of fun, escapism, and destress from daily life.

What we’re looking for:

Ideally a fellow retiree (or someone with weekday flexibility) who is looking for a low-stress, zero-ego environment. If you’re a "bedroom bassist" or dusting off the strings after a long break, you’ll fit right in. We’re all at different levels and working to improve, so enthusiasm beats virtuosity every time.

We're split between Sheffield/Worksop and Ashby de la Zouche, currently rehearsing in Ashby but long term may alternate so transport required.

The Vibe:

This is 100% about the joy of playing music together and having a laugh. Gigs are not on the radar (maybe never, and we are completely cool with that). Because we do this for fun and relaxation, family always comes first and there’s a strict "no pressure/no guilt" policy if life gets in the way of practice.
